Guitar Tango - A Dance of Love
About
The collection is a result of being born in the London area in 1950 and so, hearing The Shadows "Apache" on the radio in 1960 and being blown away by it.
1966, a friend lent me the John Mayall Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton album and I got blown away even further.
Within a few months, along came a chap called Jimi with a "platter" called "Hey Joe". Didn't think one could get blown away any further, but jeepers, we did.
There was Albert's Music Shop in Twickenham, Potter's on Richmond Hill but Bell's of Surbiton was the shop and the catalogue we drooled over. I finally got a lot of the catalogue items I wanted - albeit 50 years later.
